I can't think of any condition, particularly neuro, where early treatment is not associated with better outcomes. The trick here is time of diagnosis. 2 years of age is really the earliest the diagnosis is made and that will be in tertiary centres. In more regional healthcare facilities, odds are the age of diagnosis stretches out to 4 to 5 years, which is still far better than teens.
