Chesser Resources Ltd (�ASX:CHZ) today reported "solid drill results and
excellent preliminary metallurgy" at the Sisorta Gold Project in Turkey.
There are three rigs operating on the project and drilling is
continuing. About 5500m of drilling is now complete.
Most of the drilling is targeting a shallow large-tonnage, heap
leachable (1-2g/t gold) oxide resource. A limited number of holes will
test for potential copper�-gold porphyry style mineralisation at depth.
Assays have been received for the first 31 drillholes of the
2008 program with significant gold and/or copper in 28 of the 31 holes.
New results include:
* 50.5m at 1.41g/t gold from surface in SIS48, including 15.5m
at 2.4g/t gold from 6m; and
* 18m at 1.02g/t gold from 77.9m in SIS42, including 6.7m at
2.1g/t gold from 89.2m.

Initial bottle roll and column leach metallurgical tests confirm
that gold-bearing oxide material is amenable to leaching, with 92pc gold
recovery in bottle roll tests and up to 91pc gold recovery in column
leach tests
Results are now processed from the Ground Magnetics and Induced
Polarisation (IP) surveys, with new targets identified.
Favourable IP coincident with gold-in-soil results have
delineated a significant eastern extension target zone as yet untested
by drilling.
Drilling for porphyry targets has intersected porphyry-style K
feldspar-biotite�-magnetite alteration associated with elevated gold
values in SIS47.
The drilling is now nearly complete, and work is beginning on a
resource calculation as the first step to a preliminary scoping study.
