Milestones may or may not be reached. In mid-2006 Cytopia signed a $274 million licence deal with Novartis: http://www.theage.com.au/news/Business/Cytopia-274m-licence-deal-with-Novartis/2006/06/05/1149359651202.html At the beginning of 2010 Cytopia was taken over by a Canadian bioscience company, for a pittance - about $14m.
Phylogica is (I think) a reasonable speculative long-term play, but the $98 million from the Medimmune deal isn't even close to hatching.
