No he doesn't get a free pass he gets more time to compete the task.
I don't go and throw the baby out with the bath water just because it didn't eventuate as quickly as estimated (it could well have been a play to keep the options in play) nor do I put my sentiment as sell when I'm holding for the share price to rise (if you put it as sell anyone who thinks you may have any kind of clue as what you are talking about would sell and drop the share price)
