Musk has been a big supporter of nuclear energy, so has Bill Gates, and obviously, Jeff Bezos is now with Amazon investing in nuclear energy to drive its data centres. These are some of the smartest people on the planet, and they see on the horizon the massive baseload energy thirst in these new AI technologies and increases in data centre storage and speed.
I feel Australia is the only country in the world besides Germany (who will eventually u-turn because the energy pain will become too much) that is not seeing this problem nor the demand on the horizon and still trying to fumble our future energy solution with 100% wind and solar lol.
Wind and solar are NOT baseload, and we will never be able to put enough battery storage in to provide enough on-demand electricity when it's most needed.
Its a bit of a worry really.
