    POSITIVE
    People learn to be less trusting of managment.
    A whole lot of lawyers are going to have a job litigating this mess for years to come.

    NEGATIVE
    Billions of dollars wasted in hubris and incompetence (or maybe worse).
    Lots of little litigants don't get the support they need.
