The South Pars / North Dome Gas-Condensate field is a gas condensate field located in the Persian Gulf. It is the largest gas field in the world, shared between Iran and Qatar.

The field consists of four independent reservoir layers K1, K2, K3, and K4

It contains 1250 Tcf of total recoverable gas reserves.

I was browsing through the monster gas fields located around the world looking for clues signs as to what is needed for them to occur.

My eyes prickes when this field above is in four independant reservoirs.

Songo Songo is a good sized field 1 TCF.

Key's 60 mt gas colmun is in the Lower Cretecuous sandstones, the same reserviour as Songo-Songo.

But the deeper gas/water contact demonstrates that it is in a different structure.

The entire exploration block is littered with potentially decent sized gas deposits. As Aminex has stated many that have the potential to dwarf Kiliwani North.

Only speculation and guessing but Songo-Songo / Kiliwani North could develop into a very big gas field.

Suppose it is prudent managment fully evaluate current gas success to determine the regions prosperity.

It could end up being a duster, but not likely as both gas discoveries in the area have flown very well.
