Then it would be in their interest to spook the market into thinking that it was being proped up.
On the other hand if a party wanted to move a lot of stock they would create confidence in the stock and wouldn't be so naive to put in a prop then remove it when it is neared.
Anyone with experience in the market knows the damage placing and removing bids does to a share price.
