    Brogana,

There is no need to be nervous over the gaps, just being patient would suffice and using some discretional odds of how many gaps eventually get filled and how many gaps never get filled etc and lining that up against what percentage you hold for long term and what percentage you Want or NEED to play with to fulfill whatever purpose you own the shares for in the first place and what price you entered and topped up at along the way and what mood the world is in this month/year.

The volatility is manufactured by forces stronger than anyone here and it is done as a way of taking money off people who are easily shaken. They do not make up confidence or uncertainty, they only use it to help themselves to other peoples money by helping the swings along by lending stock to shorters and trading it both ways themselves.

Why did Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse become attracted to AGO and GIR lately to the tune of around 10 - 15% of total shares issued ? it wasn't so they could sit on them for ages collecting not yet dividends paying for however much gas they wanted to burn to warm their toes in their retirements I can assure you.

Short term the market runs on sheep noises, you just have to read TLS thread, the papers, or count the thumbs to the fairy floss posts here to work that out and gauge the extent of the sugar fix for the day. The companies fundamentals haven't changed a scrap except the merger/takeover terms changed a bit and guaranteed AGO holders new and old control of GIR's destiny which is precisely what both companies needed but was being stymied by the feet draggers. There are always a slow mob in every flock which is the problem with having too many small holders and not enough large holders that have the nous and ability to jump when an opportunity presents itself. It doesn't matter now, GIR is in the bag and MS and Credit Suisse cannot play pimps to any other suitors so what's left for them to do but shear as many sheep as possible before they leave AGO alone.

There you go JO in Sydney, a reasoned post without chatter of how blue the sky is today, mind which way you walk, sheep are easily led to be fleeced.

    regards
