Asked ASB bank in NZ how to sell AIM shares.
We will get issued a certificate with number of igas shares.
Then the only hard/time consuming part is doing a 'transfer of custody' to a broker in NZ/AU (this is how ASB bank does it anyway), this transfer takes around a month. Basically gives NZ/AU broker the right to buy or sell the shares on AIM by a click of a button. So in an instant.
Even if not considering selling, I recommend doing these steps anyway to allow you to buy/sell at an instant (or else will find you will have to wait weeks for transfer of custody to go through before order can be placed).
When want to buy/sell, just ring NZ/AU broker and they put it through instantly, as per ASX.
