If you are genuinely interested in PAA then you should go and read the terms of the trials as picking out the word "exploratory" and determining phase 2 results based on that is too simplistic a view. Considering Phase 1 was all about determining safety there has already been substantive clinical information.

Phase 1 looked at patients that had failed all standards of care so not newly diagnosed and happy to be corrected but from my memory phase 2 will not be newly diagnosed patients but again patients that have already been through treatment and have exhausted options.
