yep they took all the available information at the time, publicly stated all the stuff about largest gas discovery of all time blah blah, recommended sell anyway based on their own financial interest and got very very lucky. Certainly a strange approach but if that is the 100% right decision in your view, it ls a bit strange but well you do you.
My favourite part of all of this is the few (remarkably few actually) trolls that sit behind their computer laughing at a bunch of investors who have made hundreds of thousand to millions profit. Profit that is there and realised in most cases. Despite the fact that the resource is not there. Personally I paid of my house, bought a $85k car today and have a few hundies k spare. Thanks CE.
