Maurice Blackburn Lawyers called back today, and I had a pretty good conversation with them about a possible class action.
They would like to speak to other SMR shareholders (or ex-shareholders now) who might want to join in a class action. If you are interested, please
phone 1800 289 841 and say that you would like Maurice Blackburn to start a class action, and why.
The reasons are important, as Maurice Blackburn have to work out the exact facts on which the class action will be based.
Please note that there isn't a class action yet. This is all to help Maurice Blackburn work out whether they will start a class action. One of the things they will want to assess up front is how much people have lost because of Golden Investments' actions. They do understand that it could be difficult to quantify.
I think there are several aspects that would justify a class action, but it's best if everyone here phones Maurice Blackburn and explains their views in their own words.
They did seem to think it was significant that I had written to ASIC, so if anyone has done that too please make sure you tell Maurice Blackburn that you have done that.
