For me and this is just my opinion and thinking only...I think if they are conservative with the dividend even at 48 cents that is conservative and they remain conservative with the buybacks then there intent has to be to purchase further mines or at least bid and see if they win...otherwise we as shareholders have to ask why are they holding on to such MASSIVE amounts of cash...it should be returned to shareholders in the form of dividends or buybacks or re-invested into the business or used to purchase another business...I just think we are going to learn a hell of a lot tomorrow about what management intends to do in the next 12 months...I hope we get upwards of an 80 cent to $1 dividend...there is PLENTY of cash in the bank...$2.5 billion as of 30 June which divided by 800 million shares is $3.12 per share that potentially they could give back to shareholders over the next 12 months if they wanted...bring on tomorrow it could Christmas day for WHC investors!
