Wont happen. The ACCC will not allow it, let alone those at the British end. Other airlines would pressure IATA too.
There is also the foreign ownership thing.
IMO in 100 years there probably will be only half a dozen or so airlines, if we are still flying in planes, LOL. As resources become more scarce and technology more expensive.
Deregulation will see the airline industry go full circle.
