Well Nick,
You should ask the RBA - they completely missed the recession in WA & QLD, the so called 'booming mining states'(yes, I heard the excuses - the weather, floods, Japan, etc).
It may not be beyond them to miss the global recession and increase interest rates, they have a history of doing exactly that. But in my opinion...'prices are down and staying down...down, down, down...'
