MA, as an example, Coal Energy Australia, the subsidiary of Coal Plus, has won a $30 million government grant to use for the construction of a commercial demonstration project in the Latrobe Valley. Total cost of the demo is about $140 million.
Lignite processing plants in Western China have cost more than a billion dollars. The estimated cost for a lignite mine and processing plant at Bacchus Marsh, Victoria has been costed over a billion $$$.
How this company came to be the 'owner' or ' marketer' of an already commercially proven lignite upgrading tech I am not sure. Also I am uncertain of the expected fee/payment/royalty structure due to this company on execution of any agreement to use the tech by another party.
But then IMO all the anns by this co of deals they have entered into are devoid of detail.
