Monetization of data collection from carded play machines.
The only other country in the world who has mandatory carded play is Norway and that is ran by the government. That puts Australia in a unique position to collect very specific data on player interactions.
Privacy laws are based on individuals so group data into age brackets and with an audited data security department that is regulated by the government. Have an opt in opt out option when signing up to the carded play, offer anyone who opts in a $$ credit for opting in so essentially paying them for the data collected.
SGR use Konami gaming machines so partnership with them because they have the access and capability to store and analyze the data but SGR legally own the data.
This type of gaming machine data that is very specific to what a person does during the entire gaming experience while on a particular machine is valuable, which is impossible to identify if cash is used by someone who could be anyone from a data collection perspective.
This is not collected anywhere in the world so that makes it valuable to worldwide gaming machine developers and could be sold in subscription tiers to access the data.
Coles, Woolies, bunnings...they all collect your data and sell it to third party companies as well as using it for marketing purposes and trends as long as does not identify you as an individual.
For example they could find 45-50 year olds like free spins, melodic tones, no more than 3 minutes between small gains, respond to the colour yellow so they can create entire sections based on very individualized gaming machines that draw players of certain age groups. Now base the gaming sections on the most common demographics that visit the area.
I've already sent three emails to different SGR contact emails in the past month but zero response as expected but I think it is worth investigating so I thought I would see what the Hotcopper community thinks about the idea? Of course the idea needs detailed framework but as an initial idea what do you guys think?
