Re "They may well have backed off to flush out impatience holders and STchurners." That of course is what they normally do when they have plenty of time or when by their calculations, they have 6 months or 12 months to cover.
AC's comment of "before Xmas" jus put a spanner in their works, hence the churning vol has just gone up a notch in the last few days as Gary's post suggested.
