Isn't amazing how he was never really challenged how he would fund all these changes and who was going to execute the changes.
Who would have the capital to make the changes.
Mobile phone companies cant make the changes because the capital costs are so high and really need to be shared between brands so there is economies of scale. In the GFC for instance China had a surplus of 300 million mobile phones.

If mobile phones were produced in the US ,who is going to consume the excess. Part of the economics of having mobile phones produced in china is shared technology costs. The US market is not big enough to share technology costs. The market is not large enough for diversification.
