It means nothing to China if FMG goes bankrupt and they are no white knight. This is just wishful thinking. If there is no FMG I can guarantee there will still be a China and they won't be hurting or worrying because FMG went bankrupt.
If iron ore price stays down and FMG goes broke. Whoever buys that mining tenement will get in cheap, they may even be Chinese.
PS. I'm not saying or implying FMG will go bankrupt.
