A small div would show the company has come of age and a nice advert to funds that invest in dividend based companies , however I have had shares in several companies that announce a maiden dividend then a few months later do a share placement which seems to indicate a bit of preemptive irrational exuberance .
A share buyback of unmarketable shares (holdings worth less than $500 ) to me shows good house keeping do not know if there are many holdings of that size in AJX .
