I would agree generally with your statements about political stability. I would however watch the way you generalize your statements about 'never' being stable, a 'poorly educated population' and your use of the term 'peasants'. PNG faces similar development issues with regard to large scale resource projects as many other emerging economies. Considering its relatively low population and political relationship with Australia circumstances certainly have the potential to turn positive very quickly. PNG needs some economic stimulus and petroleum is most likely the way they will go in the medium term. Just IMO.
