Kalahari's seven main shareholders are as below. Between them they control 65% of the stock.
APAC (China) is the largest shareholder, followed by Nippon (ITOCHU), M&G and Rio.

Identity of the third party interested in making an offer for Kalahari?

In my view its Rio- if it acquires Kalahari, that gives it 43% of Extract which with its existing minority holding in the latter gives it over 50% and effective control. This might be a better and cheaper way for Rio to gain control of Extract and its world class Husab deposit than buying Extract outright, as it would still have to buy Kalahari out as part of that deal.

APAC could be a candidate also- I doubt if its AREVA which has enough problems on its plate with the delayed commercial start up to Namibia's Trekkopje mine which is costing it a bomb as well because of very low grade. The Russians- ARMZ? Possibly. Cameco? Doubt it.
