Given that the shareholder meeting to decide on a further 10% of BTV shares to be bought back will be held next month, then would it be wise to buy now in anticipation of a buyback that would push the shareprice of BTV up just like last time?

The last buyback flushed alot of sellers out and the completion of the buyback finished alot earlier than what the directors expected. I would think the next buyback coupled with a stable market would see the share price of Batavia edge 10 cents assuming no announcement of any company developments regarding new projects ect.

The potential cost of a 10% share buy-back maybe close to a 1 cent per share capital return equivalent to shareholders. The effect of the buyback will bring greater value to shareholders I believe as the buyback will push the share price higher than 1 cent share ie (from 7 cents currently to 8 cents per share) Also the postive effect of the NTA as Yaqona rightly pointed out. More cash spread out over fewer shares.

Batavia can still benefit from the rising gold price rising gold price as it has 2m shares in ATW.

Therefore Batavia potentially offers value in the short-term and long-term
