which is why we bought in.
Time has passed and much has changed.
So here is my attempt to bring it into a current value..

and recent epa

Density of sand 1.5 to 1.7 tonnes / cubic metre
I will use 1.6

Depth of sand varies but up to up to pockets >27 metres
I will use 12 metres average

EPA to allow 65 hectares to be mined/year
1 hectare =100x100 metres=10000 square metres
So 65 hectares =65x10000 square metres=650,000 square metres
Now
650000 squar metres mined to a depth of 12 metres
= 12x65000 cubic metres=780,000 cubic metres
So this at a density of 1.6 tonnes/cubic meternally=
1.248million tonnes
I will round this up to1.3 million tonnes

net comes the unknown
The price for the sand..
Unlike mose mined commodities where the is an exchange with daily prices
cilica sand prices are not published
And the industry is very secretive about the price
so all we can do is make a “guestimate”

going back V. had a price fob of around 44$ us a tonne.

Lots have change since then.

Costs have increased, but equally the price of the sand itself given supply/demand it would be reasonable to assume the sand is now more expensive.
So I will use a conservative margin of $45 usd /tonne gross profit margin.…….

Putting it all together
1.3 million tonnes X 45=58.5 million $us
the e change rate varies but this would convert to approx 1.5 times=88 million Australian dollars
