But why wouldn't they? According to the media, politicians' lockdowns are responsible for saving hundreds of thousands of lives, however such things as the worst recession in 90 years, hundreds of thousands of job losses, the permanent closure of thousands of good businesses, ongoing poverty, poor mental health, violence, family breakdown, etc are attributed entirely to the virus.
