Good article explaining that DRC is well experienced in Ebola outbreaks. Key point to take is that during the last epidemic a couple of years back, there were only 49 deaths (out of 11000 during the epidemic) in the DRC. Whilst a high number, when compared to the other countries mortality rates during the epidemic, it is reasonably low. Ebola is extremely contagious, however the fact that a low number of deaths occurred in DRC in comparison, suggests to me that the community is educated and equipped on preventative measures to stop the spread of infection.
