I believe Maigret has a valid point, it is best to look at the google satellite maps of the region and you will see that the whole DRC region is nothing better than gravel tracks at the moment. As it is likely that any interested parties are going to be China who would have to get the product to the east coast of Africa. Going West would mean shipping via the cape or the Suez Canal. Both would be very expensive for any buyer of AVZ and likely be factored into any offer.
Anyone having followed SDL, who supposedly have the largest iron ore deposit in the world, would see how difficult it is to get funding for infrastructure is in Africa. I am currently heavily invested in AVZ, but am watching very closely for the right time to cut and run as this is a VERY high risk venture.
