Have tried this and it does work...it actually DETERS rodents,cats,etc!!!
Strobe lights with a motion detector trip. No dead bodies/smell and are equally great for veggie patch outside. A good long term solution???

equal parts chocolate drink powder + & or sugar /bicarbonate soda/flour mix and place DRY MIX IN AREAS OF ENTRY. Rats cannot burp/fart and basically exp[lode...possums cats just feel 'uncomfortable and 'learn' not to inhabit/visit?
