Wait till the possums and coots are asleep in your shed during the daylight hours. Go into your shed or where ever they are sleeping and catch them during the daylight. My friends have transported a couple of possum families like this. My friend went through months of trouble with possums in his shed. We cut timber weather boards to fit around the rafters and sealed up any holes and still they got in.
Eventually we looked for them during the day and found the lot of them in a cardboard box, we through a blanket over the box and they drove them about 30 klm away and let them go. Mind you in Queensland you are not allowed to do this or kill them.
