Hey all
For those new to AW1, welcome. LTH here. I thought I would start a new thread that focuses on what has been found to date.
Us junior resource explorer investors are a unique group. We are prospectors at heart ..... we are the Harrison Fords of investors who love the thrill of the chase and even more so the thrill
of discovery. We take big risks to back geologists with good stories and we know that more often than not the holy grail isn't discovered. But we take the huge risk of backing juniors because apart from which if we didn't there wouldn't be a mining industry, but more so because with huge risk comes even higher reward on those rare occasions when there is something shiny in the pan.
That explains why we are so passionate when the downrampers appear ( amazingly after every discovery). Make no mistake, they are not altruistic at all. They don't actually care one iota whether you lose coin because either they are trying to fleece you out of your golden egg before you get to market or they are just lonely pathetic manchildren hiding in anonymity, who live with their grandmothers and are afraid of risk, success, sunshine, their own shadows and real people. So to the downrampers and pretend do-gooders keen to warn us prospectors at heart, we say Thankyou for your insights, we understand the risks because we are not in fact stupid, and if you are so genuinely concerned please don't ever buy AW1 shares. Please. To the trolls we say .... dudes get a life or at least go have a shower.. Ugghh
But I digress ... this thread
Because we have made a big shiny discovery let's put some context to it.
It isn't our first
We have 3 discoveries we are in the process of proving out
1) the shallow reserve of copper that extends roughly from 100m down up to the surface ( yep all those green rocks in Storm photos are copper at surface). This discovery is already made and we are currently infill drilling to come up with a maiden JORC
2) The sediment hosted copper system feeding the above. That's what was just discovered. Let's face it they have known about sediment hosted copper systems for Millenia .... fact. Copper has been around for a looong time and sediment hosted systems, their structures etc are well known. They just happen to be rare because let's face it if they were way to find then there wouldn't be a looming global copper shortage.
3) Broader district wide copper system ....well let's be more specific and say tenement wide system .... because we have a mighty large tenement in Nunavut. Equate 1) with finding some old gold coins in the ground, 2) with discovering the treasure chest that the coins fell out of and 3) with finding a temple complex with treasure chests all over the place
So now is a good time to insert this picture ( and please, I love the AI images but can we keep them to that thread)
Ok. So first thing we have to do is separate the 3 projects
1) is probably 1/4 of the way up that 1st curve in terms of driving our SP value
2) has only been discovered we haven't got near enough drill results and no assays so we are just at the base of the 1st curve BUT 2) is the treasure chest remember so it is a much much bigger curve and value driver. If the shallow is 20 gold coins then the motherload is 20000 coins
3) Is a whole different beast ... at best we have some hints because their is surface copper 40km away from Storm... it didn't fall from the sky ... the geology is similar ... we aren't even at the base yet .... but boy ... there are hints that there may be a whole temple system and that the treasure chest we just discovered might be one of many on our tenements
So, moving on, let's have some facts:
"This discovery is analogous to the world famous copper belts in Africa that contain some of the worlds LARGEST and HIGH GRADE copper deposits" Thomas Ullrich CEO our 20% partner in Storm Aston Bay talking about the treasure chest Motherload
"This is a major copper Discovery. ... spectacular results confirming presence of a major copper system at Storm...The scale of the opportunity is ENORMOUS... extends over 10 to the east of Storm". Dave O'Neill CEO AW1.... talking about the treasure chest and temple complex
"Whopping" Dave again referring to the size of the shallow resource at Storm
"Let's buy enough shares to get into the T20" ( or words to that effect) Mark Bennett doyen of Resource Stocks in Australia and twice prospector of the year .... look him up. .... and he did that based on the shallow and some density survey data suggesting a discovery alone. ... must have seen something shiny in those
Copper prices staring what is likely a long upward trend
Global copper heading in to a period of massive global shortfall
Nunavut where the tenements are is rich with other
miners and the government very supportive of mining and indeed has finacial backed AW1 to drill some of their current deep holes ... as they too believed in the treasure chest and temple complex
Every major resource company (Cu and wanna be Cu) globally will have people currently trawling through AW1 announcements and all historical announcements from Aston Bay because sediment hosted copper deposits in mining friendly jurisdictions are the holy grail for them. And let's face it the big guys aren't explorers ... they are acquisition machines
Paying a couple of Billion for a known sediment hosted copper system is chump change.
So that's where we are at with our exploration and discovery program.
The next 3 months will be life changing.
GLTA and hear hear to that prospector spirit ... high risk ...huge reward
