For those that didnt get a chance to read my post from this morning (for some strange reason it was removed!!!) here it is again.

Its actually a post from last night from "amazed".

I posted it again this morning because most people would have missed it due to other issues being discussed.

Not true to my word this arvo....

With some of the tension with the ann tonight...thought Id take up Sandys advice and call BT.

Glad I did. Nice guy with a balanced/bullish outlook.

I asked many Questions and received answers that Im more than happy with.

We talked for an hour or so...feel a little guilty...but he is more than happy to talk, particuarly to those that are looking to longer term.

I will post some more detailed info in an hour or so that should alleviate some fears re timeframes etc.

    OK...starting with timeframes :

Drilling..... " a couple of weeks away "

    BFS...mostly done...finished next 3-4 weeks

License...about 3 months away....enviro plan mainly done - just an update needed due to being existing mine...social plan is just a matter of ensuring CCI employ lacals of which there are plenty.
    Labour is no probs.

The "new" open cut/BEE proposals have held the project back, but with obvious benefits!

    Production...hopefully June.

Broker roadshow mid March.. Melb AND Sydney at least.
Should be more news by then....

    Some other points :

Tax losses....appears they can be used ,approx A$5 mill

Placement to holders with 12 mth escrow ( Yes, some could have been off loading some last few weeks to capitalise on their "new" issues)...obviously that will end.

The other East Bushveld properties are to be aimed at metallurgical... ie China stainless ( margins not as good but still nicely viable...and to grow CCI, these metallurgical products are necessary ), but CCIs focus is non-metallurgical products...ie Foundry sands to local customers and China.

Local Foundary buyers remember the RUIGHOEK mine and are happy to resume buying from the mine.

Metalloy Trading was introduced by Richard Linnell, and they are looking at/have 3-4 buyers to spread the risk.

Open cut is rare in SA...so there had been some difficulties in "educating" some re its merits re RUIGHOEK

Approx 12 mths was spent dealing with some BEEs that were difficult...and then AKA came along!

Wilrich Schroeder, Aka Resources head, and former Samancor executive knew the RUIGHOEK mine as
"a good little mine" and after DD Aka agreed to come onboard.
AKA Capital Chairman Reuel Khoza, is a Professor of Economics and very well liked/connected.
He is about to also become chairman of Nedlands which is SA biggest bank!

A Heads of Agreement has been signed with with Aka Resources, with the Final Agreement to come shortly. No problem with that.
    AKA are sweet.

    License...to secure.
    A...must be viable...ie BFS
B...must be able to prove it can happen...ie have cash/equipment.
    Again...appears to be no problem.

BT on recent trip met with accountants, lawyers, marketing people and banks ( not sure if CCI will need banks at all but did it anyway)
A problem has been, due to the "small" mine, financiers shy away.

Samancor have been less than helpful.
In Aust mining companies HAVE to share past data with new owners...not so in SA.
    Again this has caused delays.

BT made an interesting point..."Essentially we are a washing plant"...very little technology involved...the ore is basically washed with water (which there are large underground supplies of)..and thats it.

Japanese S/Steel producers are serious about non/nickel S/Steel.

And not that it matters but....Its a very pretty green place atm!!
Look at that we get scenery as well (maybe build a "Chrome museum " one day !

Some good solid info here, and I must stress that Brian did not discuss any financial outlooks or market sensitive info.

He has oodles of experience in the spectrum of mining and most importantly he is personable.

Personally Im very confident of CCI future, and its comforting to get some satisfying answers.
