mmm watso went past a fruit and vegie shop which had been closed for xmas and boxing day - and they had a box full of bananas for $5.
lol watso managed to rearrange the freezer, and after peeling the bananas (and fitting them into the plastic bags for sliced bread) .. could fit most into the freezer .
watso does not mind frozen bananas (mixed with milk and hit with the blender - and it makes for a lovely drink) ..
next port of call was woolies where watso picked up two pork roasts (wrapped in pork belly) - they were marked down from about $50 to the rtc post xmas sale price of about $16.. lol an added bonus was the extra 20% discount at the till - so the final cost was about $12.50 for each .
ok expiry date was dec28 - but they were vacuum sealed - which in effect means forget the expiry date ..
