I was thinking of moving to Tassie within the next 10 years or so.

How about looking at Cairns - I believe Ravenshoe is perfect on the Atherton Tablelands. Someone who is a well known traveller who had a series running for a few years and covered thousands upon thousands of miles over Australia decided that Ravenshoe was an ideal place to hang up his boots.

I like Tweety Pie's idea of Mount Tambourine too. That is beautiful.
