You will never know the identity of any poster on HC or whether they are authentic or not, so why bother?
HC is a public forum and its forces home the importance of doing your own research.
A public forum is also the last place where you should rely on unsubstantiated opinion.
However, meeting HC posters is recommended and I have met some HC posters (Dog59 and alspalladium (Alan Jenks)) by attending TON shareholder meetings.
Time is also a great revealer of a poster's intentions. Take a looks a posters history and how long they have been on HC and the number of posts and then ask why would anyone spend so much time posting on a public forum?
At at the end of the day, take control and DYOR. And use the ignore function.
