R08 was kind enough to point out to me that "potential" offtake partners have visited the site where the pilot plant is. Apparently from what I read on these threads daily everything is just about in place & we are waiting on a "potential" offtake partner for the SP to take off.

So if the broader market knows that "potential" customers might be interested in purchasing LPD battery grade chemicals & we all know markets are forward looking. Why hasn't the SP moved in anticipation of a "potential" deal? Surely the market isn't waiting for the ann to tell them a deal has been struck? The LPD market cap should be slowly rising in line with anticipation from the market but instead the opposite is happening. There's a lot of downward pressure on the SP at the moment, which both you & I have pointed out on the LPD Chart thread.

To me that says investors don't seem very confident & have taken a back seat to wait for a green light to invest/trade. It's very unusual as market sentiment mostly follows a "buy the rumour, sell the fact" rationale to trading/investing but instead investor sentiment in LPD IMO is more like "buy the fact & sell on nothing" & then a whole lot of sitting around until the next ann comes out.

IMO this could be viewed as a red flag.

Have the day traders over committed & bitten off more than they can chew? Are holders in LPD unsure of their own investment & unwilling to top up at these ridicules low levels? Are "potential" investors waiting for something else to happen & that's why they aren't buying?

Of course once a deal is in place & it pushes the SP higher which in turn starts LPD on a path to success, the next hurdle could be shorters. Short sellers have been basically attacking any company dealing in the Lithium sector that has a lot of "potential"
