HR/ Communications Administration Assistant

Ventracor is an international medical device company, headquartered in Sydney and operating in Asia, USA and Europe, that manufactures the VentrAssist™ Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), an implantable blood pump designed as long term therapy for people in end stage heart failure.
Due to ongoing success and growth, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well organized HR Administrator, to join the company in this dynamic new role where you will have the opportunity to assist the team across a number of areas that have a significant and measurable impact to the business.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager your duties would be to provide administration support and assistance to the Human Resources and Communications teams. This is a unique and varied opportunity that will build your Human Resource and Communication skills in an environment that will develop you as a HR practitioner.
Key Challenges:
Human Resources Administer new employee contracts; Create & maintain staff personnel files; Liaise with IT to set-up new starters and leavers on the network; Update the Staff Database, Organizational chart, Employee Handbook and People page as required; Liaise with payroll; Provide support with numerous HR Projects; Involvement in other areas such as Induction, Training and Recruitment; OH&S and Worker’s Compensation.
Communications Maintain the Ventracor Intranet site; Assist to create a wider awareness and increased understanding of Ventracor among key local and international financial and medical stakeholders; Assist development and implementation of consistent and accurate communications and message templates to facilitate acceptance in international markets; Oversee management of suppliers and manage purchasing and accounts; Support the accurate, timely, consistent electronic communication of company messages to all stakeholders; Maintain an accurate and up-to-date stakeholder database.
Skills and Experience:
HR qualifications or similar relevant qualifications; Strong administration skills and attention to detail; Intermediate to advance in Microsoft applications such as Word Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people; Awareness and appreciation for confidential information; Ability to prioritise and multi-task; Enthusiastic and customer focused.
