Meanwhile, it will be worth keeping a watch on General Mining (ASX:GMM) and its Mongolian project. Drilling has been under way for about a month at its Uvs project with another three months to go. The company is working with the German potash experts at Ercosplan. Limited drilling was carried out in the area in the 1950s and 1960s, when Mongolia was a Soviet satellite, during which time they found shallow potash mineralization up to 600 metres in thickness.
