I just don't know what is going on these days, Extremely high demand for iron ore, Coal for Energy and Steel, etc Its like population and growth have gone nuts (well growth more than population).. The one thing i know is that I need a bit of all these in my portolio as they are the basics for my current and future lifestyle as I utilise their end products. Coal can be replaced with another energy source one day in the future, Iron ore and steel can enevitable be recycled at a cost but food, well thats a different story.. Potash as a furtiliser can not be recycled once its used thats it..Whilst almost ALL potash comes from high cost deep mines 1km below(some minor resources are close to the surfice yes I know but these are very small projects) but I don't think any can come barely close to that which SBL has discovered so close to the surface.. The ongoing production costs of this mine as an open cut option seem so minor compared to any other in the world.. Yes SBL has a long way to go but the question is will all current producers sit back and just let SBL be.. I just wonder if we will be actually waiting for a Feasability study to be completed or if a Chinese company will partner SBL strait into development and production of the site given the size of this resource.. After all whilst comments have been made on the chinese attempts to push base metal companies into production to try and break the Vale, BHP RIO strong hold on minerals in general (look at the partnership between FMG and the Chinese) wouldn't the one thing you want to protect and control in some part is the ability to insure food crops can be maintained, After all we can in some way cut back on our other needs in life but the basics of food and clean water are the most important resouce in the world for life. This is the reason I like this company.. I need to eat and should this take off into production I would think it will be very very quick..
I may be wrong but for Potash a mineral I think this is my company to be in, FMG was the Iron ore Mirical company so to speek, The one everybody wished they were on, Paladin was the same at one time for Uranium.. Maybe just Maybe this is the one for me for a resource like Potash.. Oh well who knows...
