With many successful Sulphate of Potash (SOP) operations around the globe, BCI Minerals has taken the opportunity to learn from the best in the business.

Our Managing DirectorDavid Boshoffrecently journeyed to China to visit Bluestar, the designers behind the world’s largest brine-based SOP operation. This was a great opportunity to gain game-changing insights and innovative ideas to enhance the Mardie Project.

Since we remain committed to SOP, our current project plan includes many preliminary components of our SOP ambitions, including crystalliser ponds and substantial design work. Plus, our FEED studies are continuing to fine-tune the full operational flowsheet, cost and schedule.

To prove our technology, we will build a pilot plant to test the design, construction, and climatic requirements for our successful SOP production.

Amidst growing global demand for greater food security, the Mardie Project is well-placed to service the agricultural sector with high-quality SOP.
