The fraccing of unconventional targets is a hot topic in many places, not least of which is Victoria. The hypocrisy of the situation is that like for example NSW, Uruguay is happy to bring in Argentine and Peruvian gas, partly sourced from non conventional sources but won't allow it in their own backyard. Notwithstanding that though, the program is conventional targets only. There aren't any frac units even in Uruguay so the objections aren't valid. I don't doubt that there will be some protests though, there are some genuine objectors along with their satellite nut jobs and flat earthers in every country. All hurdles to be cleared and given David's experience with Eastern Gas, I'm sure they will handle it.
