Drilling operations at the Cerro Padilla well in Paysandú, near the village of Tambores, will be resumed this week by Texas-based company Schuepbach Energy Uruguay, after neighbors in the area associated a series of Noises and explosions registered in the area with the prospecting tasks.
The American company indicated that the hydrocarbon search tasks were momentarily paralyzed because the machinery with which it was counted did not allow access through the basalt - a type of igneous rock, solid and black more common in the earth's crust.
After analyzing several alternatives to continue drilling, the company will re-take operations this week.
