Just been thinking of where this technology could be used
Drug detection for concerned parents...maybe mobile phones fitted with this ?
CO/CO2 detectors in homes (like smoke detectors) looking for faulty gas appliances
Food left too long in fridge etc (looking for bacterial toxins in food that has gone off)
probably help with a lot of pathology procedures as well (some diseases have early presentations by elevated trace elements/chemicals) remember Mems can be used in a liquid medium.
I guess because of the hyper sensitivity of these devices that it would produce false alarms more than genuine alerts
I know that once we have a commercialised product then we will awaken many industries looking at what we can do for them
Potential applications ?
