In 2022, the National Bowel Cancer Screening program posted out 862,000 poo tests to eligible Australians aged 50-74 years. (Less than half were returned, 432,000)
Each test costs the government around $100, that's a waste of $43mil annually!!
Rhythm have mentioned selling Colostat for $50 per test tbc.
Imagine if Colostat is included under Medicare. And if it replaces the poo test...
$25mil+ revenue in Australia alone.
Even without government funding, the potential is there to sell upwards of say 100,000 tests annually in Australia alone during the very early phase. Not bad!
