WRT my last point in my previous post, I have an idea that GLE will be paid to take away UNF, that money will come from the US$100Billion already collected by the nuclear generation people, it was first made as a way to pay for repository burial, but seeing as how the amount needed to be buried is much less some of that maney may be used to pay GLE to take it away, that basically means that GLE will get the recycled Uranium for NOTHING, it will have to be re enriched and they will have to add natural UF6 as well, guess where that will come from?
And I have made this statement before, if all of this pans out? then the US might mandate that the only new fuel that can be used in nuclear reactors is recycled Uranium , perhaps excluding existing LEU contracts, because they way I see it is, if the US wants to be rid of nuclear waste? why would they allow the use of LEU from natural enriched Uranium to be used, because it would in effect only add to the nuclear waste stockpile.
