Potential Clients/Industries/Use Cases, page-9

In anticipation of future announcement(s) regarding engagement and deals made with the US DOD (Department of Defence), I thought I'd try and dig through Pointerra's recent twitter activity.

On the 27th of August retweeted this tweet that's from January 22, several months earlier. Why is this significant? and what is ATAK and goTenna? This company seems to specialise more in 2D mapping with extensive analytics and a lot of versatility for "EmergencyResponse, Wildland Fire, Military and Industrial Operations". (already this appears to align with Pointerra's utility customer trajectory....)

Considering that:
"Pointerra is now engaged directly and indirectly (through the Company’s mapping and surveying customers) in servicing 6 paying utility customers across the US, with many more currently using and trialling Pointerra’s digital asset management platform as part of the Company’s sales engagement process."

Could goTenna be one of the customers that are having a trial of Pointerra's data management platform?

Their mobile phone app, ATAK seems to have much potential for accessing mapping data on the fly (albeit currently in 2D mapping form). Though further reading of an article one of their spokespeople wrote leads me to believe that their technology is only in its infancy and will perhaps expand in the coming years:

"Even better, with the advancements of other new technologies, including 3D mapping applications such as those being offered by companies like TRXSolutions, the ability to utilize ATAK can even be available in environments and scenarios where established and relied-upon PNT solutions, such as GPS, have been denied. These applications geolocate sensor data and track personnel even in places where GPS is unavailable — including indoors."

To add even more depth to this speculation-ridden post (whoopsie, cant contain my excitement again), having a partner with an already established mobile ecosystem/presence through Android and Apple applications is another benefit for Pointerra. Particularly when the technology of 3D mapping environments is becoming more miniaturised and accessible. Pointerra themselves recently retweeted this post...

Lot of speculation here, as I've said, but who knows who the Pointerra team is talking with behind the scenes.... Why would Pointerra do a late retweet of something from this company that seems, on the surface, to offer something more specialised and perhaps not directly in need of their 3D data management platform...?
