The proposed cap of AUD 125 per tonne for domestic sales will play havoc with the Queensland governments recent massive increase in royalties applicable to the upper tier pricing scales. Effectively it wipes out these increased royalties for the domestic coal sales. I assumed these increased royalties were to be fed back into the system to offset energy costs in Qsld. But hey... the Feds would consider some type of compensation... I can see a real bun fight looming here... could drag on for ages. Anyway, I presume TER is not affected by all this posturing given we are ( thankfully) exporting all our coal and should not be impacted
