I have been thinking about IoT and computational photography for a while.

At some point, a huge amount of average quality GIS data will start to be stitched together in real time. My belief is the gatekeepers of this data (those who provide a compelling reason to share this data with them for free, and who can add the value to make a revenue stream from it), will be the biggest winners.

So its the old numbers game + add value game.
