I cant help but think BHP may have some kind of image that they want to protect hence the selling of coal mines plus they have plenty of other irons in the fire however pure play coal miners are not stupid, most are flush with cash and not limited in their options, which allow them the opportunity morph into other areas if so desired, however this doesn't seem to be the case. Despite the publics perception of fossil fuels, climate change protagonists, Govt taxes, restrictions and regulations, labour shortages most Coal miners must see a solid medium term future in front of them to pursue the BHP Coal assets.
